Skydweller Aero Inc. is a pioneering transatlantic aerospace company developing and manufacturing a fleet of very large solar-powered aircraft capable of achieving perpetual uncrewed flight with heavy, powerful payloads. Because Skydwellers are solar-powered and autonomous, they are inexpensive to operate and maintain and feature zero carbon footprint. Robert Miller
Skydweller Aero Chief Executive Officer
Prior to co-founding Skydweller, Robert was co-founder and managing partner of Parry Labs, a high-growth, defense and intelligence solutions firm focused on UAV systems integration, cybernetics, electronic warfare, and communications capability development. Prior that, he was CTO of AME Unmanned Air Systems and Chandler/May (“CMI”), where he captured and managed the Fury UAS development program through the first flight. Robert was instrumental in AME’s private equity raising process and in the combined sale of AME/CMI to Lockheed Martin. Prior to AME and CMI, he was Director of Future Unmanned Systems at Northrop Grumman. Robert held key positions such as Technical Director of the Return to Flight Fire Scout Program (MQ-8B), IPT VMS Leader for Special Projects, GNC Leader for Northrop Grumman/Boeing NASA CEV Team, VMS and Flight Controls Manager for Special Projects, and DARPA UCAR IPT Mission Control and Management Leader. Robert holds several patents and is the author of numerous papers in the area of VMS and Flight Controls. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, a master’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Barry A. Matsumori
Skydweller Aero President & Chief Operating Officer
Barry is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Skydweller Aero. He is a space industry veteran that has had executive leadership roles at SpaceX, Virgin, and Impulse Space. Barry was also the CEO of BridgeComm, a laser communications company where he co-developed a patented design for signal transmission. Additionally, he has a background in communications technology as an early member of Qualcomm along with experience in other telecommunications companies. Barry has a B.S. in Business from Arizona State University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona. He is also named in over 20 patents.
Jilinda Crowley
Skydweller Aero Chief Financial Officer
Jilinda brings tremendous skill and experience to the CFO role, having previously been CFO at magniX, and before that at Electra.aero. Prior to that, Jilinda held a series of senior positions with increasing responsibility at Rolls Royce: vice president of government relations, vice president of investor relations, CFO of Civil Small and Medium Engines, and senior vice president for Civil Aerospace Programs. In that position she managed the company’s $10 billion global engine and aftermarket business. Jilinda has an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University.
Sebastien Renouard
Skydweller Aero Chief Commercial Officer of Europe, Middle East, Asia & Africa
Prior to joining Skydweller, Seb spent more than 20 years at Altran, where he was part of the firm’s executive team as it grew from 800 to 45,000 engineers. he started as an executive covering Northern Europe and then in particular the Germany-Austria-Switzerland territory, then, when that segment became a substantial business, Seb went on to Director of the Aerospace and Defense part of the unit. Most recently, he was the GVP of Aerospace and Defense for the entire group. Seb’s engineering group at Altran was instrumental in the development of Skydweller and his experience and industry relationships will enable Skydweller to build a world-class commercial operation. He holds a Master’s Degree.
Scott Clifton
President – Skydweller US
Scott is a distinguished engineer and executive located in Oklahoma City, with extensive experience developing uncrewed autonomous vehicles and leading commercial enterprises. Since 2011, he has spearheaded innovative underwater and aerial drone technology projects, securing multiple grants and managing large teams of engineers and technicians. Scott’s leadership roles include overseeing high-altitude autonomous flying platforms and pioneering acoustic systems for target detection. In the commercial sector, he successfully expanded retail outlets for aged care equipment, built a leading biomedical service company in Australia, and a medical aesthetic retail network in Australia and New Zealand. Holding degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of New South Wales, Scott’s career is marked by numerous patents and awards, reflecting his commitment to technological advancement and business growth.
Massimiliano Manfreda
President – Skydweller Spain
With nearly 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Max is recognized as a seasoned manager who has excelled in leading cross-functional teams, developing, and executing international programs with measurable results. Prior to joining Skydweller, he held various senior positions in the Program Management area within renowned companies such as Leonardo and Piaggio Aerospace, where he worked on several high-profile programs, including military fighters (F35), civil aircraft (P180), and unmanned programs (P1HH). Max has extensive and comprehensive experience in the entire product life cycle, from design to in-service support. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Turin (Italy).
Travis Vetter
Skydweller Aero Chief Technology Officer
Formerly Chief Engineer – Special Programs at Northrop Grumman, Travis provided technical direction for several hundred engineers and 100’s of Millions in annual revenue. His past leadership positions included: Air Vehicle, VMS and Flight Controls lead for DARPA’s Tern program; Guidance Navigation & Control IPT Special Projects lead, and Aeroelastic Controls lead for a DARPA program. Travis is a recognized expert in the design of aircraft, UAV Flight control, control of aeroelastic systems, vehicle management systems and integration of mission systems. He holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California at Davis.
Isabella Fernandez Diaz
Skydweller Aero Human Resources Director
Isa is an HR professional with over 7 years of experience in Human Resources. She currently serves as the Human Resources Director at Skydweller Aero, where she oversees HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives. With expertise in recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration, Isa ensures HR operations are optimized for success. Prior to her current role, she held positions at organizations such as Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation in Boston, MA, and Placement International, honing her skills in career counseling, talent acquisition, and payroll management. A reliable and proactive professional, she is results-oriented with excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills. Isa holds a degree in Psychology from Stetson University.
