Renewable Technology
Skydweller is committed to helping populations in need.
Skydweller’s primary source of energy is the sun. More than 17,000 individual solar cells are spread across 54 independent strings and roughly 2900 square feet of wing surface to provide up to 100KW of power to the aircraft.
During daylight hours, solar energy is used to maintain flight, power avionics and payloads, and charge batteries.
More than 1400 lbs of batteries are used to power the aircraft through the night. This allows Skydweller to achieve perpetual endurance.
